Thomas Batt is the President of Seguros SURA Brazil since March 2016, leading the integration to SURA (former, RSA Seguros) in every aspect, including regulatory processes, brand, culture and other processes and systems. To present the new brand to the major agents of the market, he launched a campaign in the media with the purpose of building it and led a strategic revision by presenting alternatives to the Administrative Council of SURA; he also made changes in the leadership positions to prepare the company for the new cycle.
With almost 30 years of experience in the insurance market, he led the Brazilian until from 2000 to 2006, beginning as the Chief Operations & Risk Director for Latin America and leading the areas of operating and regulatory risk, technology, operations, legal matters, and project management.
Before RSA, he worked 11 years at a multinational insurance broker firm. As President, he is challenged every day to implement strategies in the insurance market using value propositions for different customer profiles, and by managing multidisciplinary teams seeking better results.
