Commercial Engineer from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. He began his professional career in 1985 at Citibank, where he held various positions in the financial area. In 1993 he joined the Santander Group in Chile; in 1997 he was appointed General Manager of the Pension Fund Administrator of the Santander Group in Chile.

Between 2008 and 2010 he was corporate director of Human Resources, later manager of the Commercial Banking division and from March 2012 he took over as manager of the Human Resources and Media division of Grupo Santander, a position he held until joining SURA Asset Management in September 2013 as CEO of operations in Chile and Uruguay. Since the beginning of 2023, he assumed the regional leadership of the Savings and Retirement businesses, focused on developing value propositions for clients in their accumulation (savings) and decumulation (enjoyment of their pension or savings) stages.
