- Grupo SURA moved up one position compared to the previous year´s results, thereby excelling as one of the most responsible companies in the country.
- The Company was ranked in first place in the insurance sector, in addition to having achieved leading positions in the areas of Corporate Governance, Customers and Society as well as the Environment.
- The Group´s portfolio investments such as Grupo Cibest (Bancolombia) and Protección also obtained first places in their respective sectors, reinforcing the Group's sound sustainability model.
In the most recent MERCO ESG survey, Grupo SURA achieved 4th place in the overall ranking, moving up one position compared to the previous year´s results thereby consolidating its position among the most responsible companies in Colombia with regard to environmental, social and corporate governance matters.
This level of performance reflects the Group's progress in integrating ESG criteria into its business strategy and positioning itself as a benchmark in corporate sustainability. This only goes to confirm the cross-cutting and coordinated performance across its companies all of which obtained high scores in this category.

Results per individual ESG dimension
The Merco ESG ranking showed the outstanding positioning held by Grupo SURA in each key component:
- Corporate Governance: 2nd place, resulting from implementing our robust ethical and compliance practices that strengthen our strategic decision-making capabilities.
- Customers and Society: 3rd place, driven by initiatives aimed at promoting citizenship, democracy and development in all those territories where the Company is present.
- Environmental: 9th place, based on the headway made with our sustainable investment policies and our handling of environmental impacts based on a comprehensive vision of our environment.
Sector performance
In the Merco ESG results per sector for last year, SURA was ranked in 1st place in the insurance sector, thereby reaffirming its leadership in responsible risk management and in developing solutions based on sustainability criteria.
The performance of the companies that form part of Grupo SURA's investment portfolio also deserves special mention; this including Grupo Cibest, Bancolombia’s parent company, which obtained 1st place in the financial sector; and Protección, a subsidiary of SURA AM in Colombia, which led the pension and severance funds sector.
These results only go to enhance the consistency of a business model focusing on the long term and the ability to create sustainable value throughout the region.
