Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana S.A. (Grupo SURA) hereby announces that it has set up a new subsidiary, called NUBLOQ S.A.S., a company domiciled in Medellín, Colombia, whose main businss activity consists of developing software products that allow for financial services entities to be linked up via APIs.
Grupo SURA shall have a 100% indirect stake in this new company, through its subsidiary Inversiones y Construcciones Estratégicas S.A.S., with an initial investment of COP 11,389 million.
Considering how the financial industry's operating model has evolved over recent years, given new technological factors as well as changes in demand and new consumer habits, NUBLOQ shall undoubtedly help to channel the opportunities to be had with this new digital environment, while offering the necessary capabilities and technological infrastructure for further developing this industry.
