Grupo SURA marks 15 years in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook

  • Grupo SURA was once again included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026, standing out among 9,200 companies evaluated worldwide.
  • The Company obtained a score of 71 out of a total of 100 in the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment, making it one of just 33 companies from the global financial service sector for its level of performance in these aspects.
  • This recognition consolidates 15 years of leadership in sustainability, backed by the progress made in ethics, corporate governance, talent management and sustainable finance.

Grupo SURA was included in the S&P Sustainability Yearbook 2026, a S&P Global publication that highlights companies with the best performance in corporate sustainability on a global level. This only goes to reaffirm the Company's commitment to responsible management, sustainable value creation and transparency towards its stakeholders.

"Our vision of sustainability is a central part of Grupo SURA's strategy as a criterion for decision making. Having been admitted yet again in the 2026 Yearbook reflects our ongoing effort to understand our performance in terms of international standards, thereby allowing us to continue realizing the value that results from a  proper management of environmental, social, and governance issues, both for the company from the risk management standpoint as well as for society as a whole," stated Lina Uribe, Grupo SURA´s Director of Sustainability .

For this year´s edition, S&P Global evaluated more than 9,200 companies worldwide, of which only 848 managed to be selected as members of the 2026 Yearbook, thereby forming a group of high performers in terms of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. In the case of the Diverse Financial Service and Capital Markets sector, the category in which Grupo SURA is classified, 418 companies were evaluated and only 33 were included in this publication, six of which are from Latin America.

Our inclusion is based on the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) 2025, where Grupo SURA obtained a score of 71 out of a total of 100. This rating reflects our strengths particularly in risk management, business ethics, sustainable finance and human talent management.

An outstanding track record in sustainability

This new inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook comes in addition to more than a decade of recognitions for the Organization, thereby reaffirming its leadership throughout the region.

Grupo SURA has managed to consolidate its position as a benchmark in sustainability through  sound risk management processes that incorporate a comprehensive vision of the environment; investment and underwriting policies based on sustainability criteria; along with robust ethics and corporate governance practices, as well as attracting, developing and retaining human talent.
