Two of Suramericana's nine operations in Latin America will begin 2019 with new leaders: Carlos Alberto Ospina Duque will take over as CEO of Seguros SURA Mexico, after three years of presiding over the subsidiary in the Dominican Republic. There he will deliver the position to James García Torres, current Vice President of Insurance in that Caribbean country.

Carlos Alberto is a mechanical engineer, specializing in International Business and advanced studies of Senior Business Management. He has been linked to Seguros SURA for nearly 25 years, the last three leading the operation in the Dominican Republic. He was previously president of Asesuisa, a subsidiary of Suramericana in El Salvador, and manager of the Regional Antioquia de Seguros SURA Colombia, among other positions.

Under his leadership, Seguros SURA Dominican Republic increased the penetration of segments of the local market, diversified its portfolio of solutions in Life and General Insurance segments and advanced in the accompaniment of the Company to advisors and suppliers, in other aspects, which reflected in the improvement of operating results.
