Strengthening of institutionality

Grupo SURA understands that you can only be successful a setting that grows, with people that have better living conditions and societies that are part of the virtuous cycle of development. We believe that strong institutions in favor of creating social and economic enhancements are the leverage needed for the growth of society. Hence, we promote the creation and consolidation of think tanks, guilds, associations and initiatives based on cooperation. In this sense, we work along side organizations, institutions and governments, by contributing resources, knowledge and talent, without compromising personal interests, and all to reflect upon, investigate and have a positive impact on the construction of public policies that boost the develop – ment of the countries where we operate.

In 2018, the Company had the chance to join forces with other players on complementary pur- poses. These forces strengthen capabilities and favors the achieve – ment of relevant goals for society. The following contributions are involved.

1. CONSEJO PRIVADO DE COMPETITIVIDAD
Grupo SURA makes several contributions to other entities such as, think tanks, trade associations and NGO’s, to promote competitiveness in Latin America and to enhance social development. In addition, Grupo SURA is committed to organizations devoted to consider, investigate and influence public debates in justice, transparency, democracy, environment and citizenship. USD 39,766

2. SUPERINTENDENCIA DE BANCAS Y SEGUROS (PERÚ)
The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance (SBS) and AFP is the body in charge of the regulation and supervision of Financial Systems, Security and the Private Pension System. Its primary objective is to preserve the interests of depositors, insured persons and members of the PPS. The SBS is a public law institution whose function is also recognized by the Political Constitution of Peru. Its objectives, functions and attributions are established in the General Law of the Financial System and the Insurance and Organic System of the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (Law 26702). 3. ASOFONDOS
Colombian Association of Pension and Unemployment Fund Administrators, ASOFONDOS, a non-profit association that represents the activity of the Pension and Unemployment Fund Administrators of Colombia. Created in 1994, the main objective is to provide a pension system that protects Colombian workers, through the development of pension savings based on the individual account of each affiliate. 4. FEDERACION DE ASEGURADORES COLOMBIANOS FASECOLDA
As a professional association nonprofit, Fasecolda represents the activity of the insurance industry against entities monitoring and control as well as society in general.
The federation has led the development of insurance line by conducting ongoing activities, both nationally and internationally, thanks to its commitment to the union affiliates.
In particular, it is dedicated to promoting the culture of insurance and modernization of industry. To achieve this purpose, it analyzes and collects specific industry results and general statistics. USD 1.156.567,40
